Care & Handling

Getting into and out of your 'no risk' Hammock Recliner without the Comfort Cushion

Sitting down - Before sitting down, reach behind and spread the hammock netting out, then sit directly down. The hammock will immediately conform to your back and provide perfect support. Placing your feet inside the hammock edge and pushing out, will enable you to stretch out full length. The hammock netting will accommodate people up to 6' 6" tall.

Enjoy!

Standing up - The Hammock Recliner is easy to get out of, even for older folk. First place your feet under the hammock, then lean forward and stand up. Make sure no clothing fasteners, Velcro, buckles or buttons are caught on the hammock cords as you exit, as this can pull the netting out of shape - the optional Comfort Cushion which provides added comfort, will protect the hammock netting and maintain the hammocks' good looks for many years.

Careing for your Hammock Recliner and Classic Hammock

The hammock netting is hand-crafted with genuine nylon, which requires minimum maintenance. Should the netting require washing, this may only be done by hand, but first you must prepare the hammock. Never place the hammock netting in a washing machine, as this can ruin your investment!

Washing Instructions - First hold the hammock by the 'end loops' in each hand, so the hammock hangs vertically – now twist both hammock 'loops' evenly in similar directions. Once the hammock is fully twisted, tie the 'end loops' firmly together, your hammock is now ready for washing. Hand knead the hammock, taking care not to tangle the netting. Rinse well and air dry. After washing, make sure all the hammock cords are hanging parallel. If any cords are 'crossed', take a few moments to correct before using.

Before transporting or storing your hammock, always twist the 'end loops' together, this will save time later, sorting out the 'mess'! Always remember, your hammock is a 'hand crafted' product that requires appropriate respect and will provide many years of pleasurable relaxation, if cared for correctly.

Careing for your Cushion

Sunbrella® furniture fabric provides the ultimate in fade and stain resistance – even mildew is no match for Sunbrella® fabric. For over 45 years, Sunbrella® has been the leader in performance outdoor fabric, so you can relax with the peace of mind that comes with Hammock Worlds' quality and ease of maintenance.

During the eco friendly manufacturing process, Sunbrella® fabric is treated to resist dirt and stains. In most cases, Sunbrella® fabric can be spot cleaned by sponging with mild soap and warm water. DO NOT IRON OR DRY CLEAN - Sunbrella® fabric is heat sensitive.

Storing your Comfort Cushion - The best way to store the Comfort Cushion is vertically in a closet, using a clothes hanger. Hang the Cushion by the 'pillow straps', this will allow air to circulate around the cushion and the polyester fill to retain its' loft.
